Summer fog kills visibility on the Aqaba road without warning — drive gently, fog lights on. Honestly: dining variety is limited and packed on holidays, and several attractions run summer-only.

Getting around: Car only — no dependable ride apps, and sights sit on mountain roads (Dhee Ayn via the King Fahd descent and its bends). Taif lies 3 scenic mountain hours north.

🏨 Where do Gulf travelers stay?: King Fahd road (the cloud line): view hotels on the mountain's chest. Central Al-Baha: souqs and services. Baljurashi and Al-Mandaq: southern villages for calmer terraced stays.
