Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-10 · العربية
1. Acceptance and scope
By using the Rahhala platform (site and app) you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. When you create an account, your affirmative acceptance is recorded with its date and time.
2. Ownership of your contributions — it stays yours
You retain full ownership of everything you create on the platform: reviews, photos, submitted places, wiki edits, questions and answers, Local Phrases, trip plans, ideas and suggestions. Ownership of your content never transfers to us.
3. The license you grant the platform
To operate and develop the platform, you grant Rahhala a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to: host, display, reproduce, adapt, translate (Arabic↔English), excerpt (community quotes and summaries), and moderate your content, and to create derivative works from it — explicitly including: AI-generated review summaries, extraction of factual updates from reviews into official content (with attribution to the author), aggregated and anonymized statistics and insights, and inclusion in data products (such as a licensed API) in aggregated/anonymized form only for anything beyond public display. This license is the minimum that makes current and future platform features possible; it is not a transfer of your ownership.
4. Survival of the license after account deletion
When you delete your account, personal attribution linking content to your identity is removed. Content already woven into the platform before deletion — approved wiki edits on guide pages, harvested factual updates, aggregated statistics — remains licensed, because removing it would break pages others rely on. We separate the content license from the identity link: the former survives, the latter is deleted.
5. Public visibility of content
Public content (reviews, places, answers, phrases) is visible to all visitors, may be indexed by search engines, and may be quoted within the platform with attribution. Do not post what you would not want public.
6. Prohibited content
The following rules are actively enforced by the moderation systems: (a) No personal contact numbers of any individual. (b) No naming-and-shaming of identified individuals (an employee, driver, guide) — criticize the service, not the person. (c) No impersonation of official bodies or false 'certified/verified' claims. (d) No promotional/spam content or undisclosed business self-promotion — business owners must identify themselves. (e) Rahhala is family-oriented: nightlife and alcohol venues are not accepted as places or recommendations; mentions are limited to avoidance/planning advisories and legal warnings per the content policy. (f) No false claims about safety, visas, or medications. (g) Nothing violating the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or public morals, and no abusive, discriminatory, or fake content (fabricated reviews). (h) Respect the review/Ask distinction (personal experience vs. discussion board); one review per member per destination.
7. Accounts and age
Sign-in is via identity providers (OAuth) only — we hold no passwords. Publishing requires an activated profile (name and home country). Minimum age is 13 at the least, and no lower than the identity provider's minimum and Saudi legal requirements [LAWYER to confirm]. You are responsible for your account and for the accuracy and legality of what you post.
8. Reputation and levels
Reputation points, traveler levels, and publishing privileges are granted and adjusted at the platform's discretion in service of content quality; they are not an acquired right, carry no monetary value, and cannot be transferred or sold.
9. Moderation and appeals
Moderation runs in layers as published: automated checks at submission, community confirmation by trusted members, and admin review. The platform may hide or remove violating content and suspend or ban abusive accounts per the published rules. Any AI-assisted action has an appeal path with human review — decisions on sensitive matters always remain human. Any content can be reported via the report button.
10. Critical information fields
Visa, safety, medication, and emergency-number fields are platform-controlled and updated from verified sources; member input on them flows through the suggestion queue for review only and is never published directly, and automated systems are never allowed to auto-publish visa changes regardless of confidence.
11. Disclaimers
All travel information is guidance, not legal or medical advice: visa data can change at any time and you must verify with the official source before traveling; flight times are computed estimates from major Gulf airports, not schedules; costs are always shown as approximate ranges; crowding calendars are fallible predictions. Reviews and community content are their authors' personal opinions, not platform statements. 'Verified Trip' badges and reputation scores are platform-internal signals, not guarantees of accuracy. Content labeled 'ملخص آلي' (AI summary) is machine-generated and may contain errors. External links (official authorities, and affiliate links when they arrive) lead to third parties we do not control; the platform may in future earn a commission from some clearly-marked links at no extra cost to you. The service is provided 'as is' with no availability guarantee, and features may change.
12. The commercial commitment: ads never touch ranking
Any paid or sponsored content will always appear visibly labeled and in spaces separate from organic content, and commissions or sponsorships will never influence the ranking of destinations, places, or comparison results. This is a binding commitment in these Terms, not merely an internal policy. Premium tiers may be introduced in future, and existing free features may evolve with prior notice.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes are heard before its competent authorities [venue specifics: LAWYER to confirm].
14. Amendments
We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified in-app or by email with a clear effective date, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
