Beachwear is standard on the beaches; conservative families will enjoy the old town and restaurants more than the public beaches.

Getting around: ~50 minutes north of Beirut, just past Byblos. The town is small and fully walkable; a car or driver beats relying on service taxis here.

Halal & prayer places: A Christian-flavoured coastal town — alcohol is common in its restaurants; fish is the comfortable choice, ask about meats. Family-friendly by day, youthful by night.
