Extend it south (Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss falls) for a richer full day instead of stopping at just the classic three.

Getting around: A 2–3 hour non-stop driving loop from Reykjavík — a standard car suffices in summer. Organised day tours are excellent for non-drivers.

Halal & prayer places: Practically none along the route — pack provisions or make do with roadside vegetarian cafés.
