Getting around: The small Nausori Airport serves it directly, but most visitors arrive via Nadi (a 3-hour drive along the coastal Queens Road). Cheap local buses and metered taxis cover the city.

Halal & prayer places: Fiji's highest — several mosques (Al Haq, Nadera Jame, Samabula Jame) and declared halal restaurants around Indo-Fijian neighbourhoods, including a Kebab King branch in the MHCC mall.

Local safety: Watch for bag and phone snatching on the nearby Colo-i-Suva forest trails and in the downtown commercial area at night — keep valuables out of sight and move in a group after dark.
