April–September is Hejaz's classic summer resort (22–32°C days, cool nights); rose season is March–April.

The winding Al Hada road jams on summer weekends — go up early. Don't feed the baboons or open windows near them.

Getting around: Your car is the plan — the winding Al Hada road is a sight itself (drive it by day first). Uber works in town but thins on Shafa/Hada at night. Jeddah and Makkah sit about 90 minutes away.

🏨 Where do Gulf travelers stay?: Al Hada: mountain hotels, the cable car, the views — summer's first choice. Al Shafa: cooler, calmer, rose and fruit farms. Central Taif: the souqs, historic Souq Okaz nearby, kinder prices.

Cost figures: Al Hada hotels SAR 400–800 in summer (halving in winter), central Taif 200–400. The Al Hada cable car ~SAR 85. Rose-farm visits SAR 30–80 in the April season.

🗓️ Crowding calendar — periods to avoid: Peaks: June–August (all Hejaz summers here) and Eid weeks — Al Hada packs out and rooms boil over. April's rose season is a short sweet peak. Winter runs quiet and highland-cold.
