Good as a one-day stopover between Mostar and Dubrovnik β half a day is enough to see its essence.
π On the ground
Getting around: No airport β usually visited as a stop between Mostar and Dubrovnik by bus or rental car (Mostar ~1.5β2 hrs, Dubrovnik ~1 hr across the border). The old town is small and fully walkable.
Halal & prayer places: Thin β the population is majority Orthodox, and local menus default to including pork and alcohol. The historic 18th-century Osman-Pasha Mosque is active, but there's no confidently-declared halal restaurant β lean on fish and vegetarian dishes, or ask directly.
Local safety: Same as country β
Cost figures: 2026 prices: casual meal 10β15 KM, coffee in Platanus Square 2β3 KM β noticeably cheaper than neighboring Dubrovnik. The MostarβTrebinje bus runs roughly 15β20 KM.
